DXFP Format

DFXP (Distribution Format eXchange Profile) is a variation on the Timed Text strategy for synchronizing events, such as captions, with multimedia.

The DXFP ASCII template can be fleshed out with particulars like font and color to tailor it to specific Internet and multimedia applications.

The DFXP template generated by AutoCaption takes care of the hard work by identifying what the caption must say, how the caption is formatted, and when it must appear.
